German Smear Brickwork Barn Conversion, Pentlow Here is a beautiful example of a traditional German smear finish applied over the existing brickwork in this barn conversion in Pentlow. This technique involves hand trowelling a carefully mixed lime based mortar across the face of the brick, allowing the natural texture and colour of the brick to show through in a soft, weathered effect. It creates a timeless, high end aesthetic that perfectly complements the character of the barn while protecting and enhancing the masonry. We spent two full days on site, paying close attention to every detail from consistent coverage and joint definition to achieving the perfect depth and texture to deliver a flawless result for our new customer.
